2. Medical Disclaimer

  • All assessments are performed by qualified medical professionals in line with UK health and safety standards.
  • Our medicals are not a substitute for full GP or hospital care.
  • We do not offer emergency medical treatment.
  • The outcome of any medical assessment is based solely on the information provided at the time of examination and may change if your health status changes.
  • Reports are issued only after the clinician has completed the necessary checks and documentation.

3. Bookings and Appointments

  • Appointments must be booked in advance via our website, by phone, or through an approved booking partner.
  • You are responsible for providing accurate personal and medical information when booking.
  • Proof of identity (e.g., passport, driving licence) must be shown at your appointment.
  • Late arrivals of more than 10 minutes may need to be rebooked at our discretion.

4. Payments

  • Payment is due at the time of booking unless alternative arrangements are agreed in writing.
  • Prices are listed in GBP and include VAT where applicable.
  • We reserve the right to amend prices without prior notice.
  • Corporate clients with credit accounts must pay invoices within the agreed payment terms.

5. Cancellations and Refunds

  • Individual Bookings:
    • Cancellations made at least 48 hours before your appointment will receive a full refund.
    • Cancellations made within 48 hours or non-attendance will not be refunded.
  • Corporate or On-Site Bookings:
    • Cancellation terms will be set out in your contract or service agreement.
  • Refunds, where applicable, will be processed within 7–10 working days.

6. Rescheduling

  • You may reschedule your appointment up to 48 hours before the original date without penalty.
  • Less than 48 hours’ notice may incur a rescheduling fee.

7. Medical Reports and Results

  • Reports are confidential and released only to you or your authorised representative/employer (with your consent).
  • Essential Medicals retains records in accordance with data protection laws and clinical governance requirements.
  • We are not responsible for any decisions made by employers, licensing authorities, or other third parties based on your medical report.

8. Fitness to Work or Drive Decisions

  • The examining clinician’s decision regarding fitness to work or drive is final based on the evidence available at the time of examination.
  • We reserve the right to decline certification if medical standards are not met.

9. Confidentiality and Data Protection

  • All personal data is processed in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

10. Liability

  • While every effort is made to ensure accuracy, Essential Medicals does not accept liability for any indirect, consequential, or financial loss arising from:
    • Delays in report delivery;
    • Refusal or withdrawal of medical certification;
    • Employer or third-party decisions based on our assessments.
  • Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

11. Third-Party Services

  • We may refer you to or work with third-party healthcare providers or laboratories. We are not responsible for their services or results.

12. Website Use

  • All website content, including text, graphics, and branding, is owned by Essential Medicals Ltd.
  • You may not copy, distribute, or reproduce any content without written permission.
  • We are not liable for loss or damage caused by viruses, data breaches, or reliance on information contained on our website.
